Armenia was one of the Republics in the former Soviet Union. It declared independence in 1991 and, along with the rest of the former USSR Republics, is a developing nation.

However, ongoing ethnic conflicts with neighboring countries, wars and blockades harmed the economic advancement of Armenia, leaving many families in poor conditions. Among the victims of those unfortunate circumstances are the children of those families. Many of those children have lost their parents, forcing them to find shelters in orphanage homes and rely on external help and support.

The American Armenian Childrens Fund, Inc. (AACF) is a non-profit corporation, with a mission to help those needy children by providing variety of humanitarian and medical assistance, including cash, clothing, Etc.

These activities will be conducted primarily by the founder of the corporation – Vladimir Darovikh. Variety of fund raising activities, including governmental grants, private agency funding and individual contributions, are planned to begin in early 2010. Those activities are planned to be conducted in Glendale and Los Angeles, CA areas. Among many different activities, AACF plans to have mail, personal and phone solicitations for fundraising purposes.

AACF also plans to have a website, describing it’s humanitarian goals and objectives. Through the website AACF will accept donations and contributions towards fulfilling it’s mission helping poor and needy children. By reaching out those disadvantaged children, we strongly believe that the AACF will re-emphasize it’s mission and continue to further it’s exempt purposes. Initially, the founder of the Corporation will allocate at least 50-60% of his time to these activities, with a strong emphasis to increase that percentage in the future.

AACF is fully committed to providing help and support to the poor and needy children of Armenia.
